Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Bryan White Foundation, Bryan White born Bryan Kirumira has launched a new song for his foundation ahead of mega launch at Kakyeeka Stadium in Mbarara district on 10th March.
The new song titled ‘Kilimanyi’ was launched last evening at Auto Spa, Munyonyo. The song is a collaboration of Weasel, King Michael and Cindy. It’s a mega hit, I must say.
Speaking at the launch, Bryan White said the song will be used a foundation’s anthem for the next six years before the foundation goes into a break.
He said the foundation is now ready to carry out activities at a speedy rate.
He handed over the song’s CDs to the 10 DJs who were present and gave each Shs 1m to go and promote the song. DJs Slick Stuart, Urban star, Booby were among those given the opportunity to promote the song.
He was flanked at the launch by singers Weasel, King Michael and Cindy as well as members of his foundation.
He said his foundation will distribute condom picking bucket to help those who can’t buy to pick them for free, bags, reflector jackets, 200 page books for students, cups, rulers with information ‘wash your hands after using toilet’. All the above will be distributed for free.
“All this am doing, God is the one to reward me,” he said.
He advised his haters and critics to go and get what to do and welcomed those who support and appreciate what he is doing. This weekend he is due to meet 200 drug abusers who need rehabilitation.
He accused the ‘The Kampala Sun’ of trying to tarnish his name by publishing false stories about him.
He attacked lawyer Rwakafuzi for trying to side with the so called victim who tried to break into the activist’s house and steal.
“If you didn’t bring me, you will not take me. Foundation is moving on well, I will not be intimidated by anyone,” Bryan added.
The ‘Awakening Youths From Poverty’ activist continue to reach out to hundreds of Ugandans with his good heart. “I give from the bottom of my heart,” he added.
“Today am releasing our brand new song “Kilimanyi” with my foundation artistes; Weasel, Cindy and DJ Michael on the 10th of March will be launching the foundation,” Bryan posted.

As the NSSF Friends With Benefits TV contest goes past the halfway mark, contestant stories are getting more interesting and a large number of viewers believe that this year’s finale will be a nail-biting one.
With the majority vote, 70% being held coming from the public and only 30% held by the judges, the viewers have the overarching say on who progresses to the semi-final.Bonaventure Rwakira (R), his wife and daughter
The fact that contestant stories are getting more exciting as the episodes go by, it will be interesting to see who will make it through to the semifinals and eventually the finals.
The show that airs every Saturday on both NTV and NBS TV is a financial literacy show aimed at showcasing inspirational success stories from members who have received and used their benefits to change their lives, those of their families and even the communities they live in, so as to motivate existing and potential members to invest in retirement savings.Noah Muhkwana was crushed by a speeding vehicle and he was only saved by his father’s NSSF benefits
The show has so far succeeded in bringing to the fore success stories that would have ideally been brushed off, and on the other hand also shown just how the members’ benefits have transformed their lives.
In Episode one, Wamoto Nabende, a retired hotelier and formerly the Resident District Commissioner (RDC) for Bulambului, used his NSSF age benefits to treat his son, Noah Mukhwana, who was involved in a life-threatening motor accident.Mary Naikumi
“My son had just completed his final Senior Six paper in 2006 and had gone out of the school to call me to pick them. A few meters from his school gate, a vehicle came from behind and crushed into him, dragging him into a trench where he was trapped under its wheels. I had no money on me at the time to treat Noah, whose spinal cord had been damaged given that my contract had just ended at the Senior Staff and Command Center in Jinja.
“If it wasn’t for my NSSF savings, I probably would have lost my son. He may be in a wheelchair for life, but the reason he is alive today is because I had some savings with the fund. That made a huge difference and today, Noah is living his life,” he explained.
Throughout the preceding episodes, very inspiring stories have been shown for instance that of Rwakira Bonaventure, a security officer with the Uganda Industrial Research Institute (UIRI) Kabale Branch.
Rwakira, whose story aired on Sunday February 18, 2018, managed to set up only the second school in his Nyakagyera Parish in Kabale District. Despite receiving only Ugx1.9million as his initial age benefit, he set up a school; Uganda Martyrs Nursery and Primary School.
“I decided to start up a school because I saw many children, including my own grandchildren covering long distances just to study. These were very young children and in the long run, many dropped out of school because they could not handle the daily trek, moreover on very hilly terrain,” he states. Some of the pupils and teachers at Bonaventure Rwakira’s school pose for a group photo in front of one of the classroom blocks
Currently, the school employs 11 teachers and has a boarding section for both boys and girls. The school’s pioneer pupils are now in senior three.
Along the way, there have also been very emotional stories especially those shared by contestants who received invalidity benefits.
Mary Naikumi, a mother of two and lecturer at Mbarara University of Science and Technology almost gave up on life after she had been diagnosed with breast cancer.
Naikumi narrated, “My husband had filed for divorce and left home when I was six months pregnant. Now, I had another challenge which was this monster called cancer. I was lucky to get free chemotherapy from Mulago. I did six courses which were very traumatizing, the body was tortured and the hope for living was getting very faint by the day.”
She added that when the cancer reoccurred even after the chemotherapy, her resources were down to zero and she had nowhere else to run to. It was at this point that her savings with NSSF came in handy.
“Today, I can confidently say that my NSSF benefits are my life because if I hadn’t gotten that money, I wouldn’t have afforded decent treatment. I wouldn’t have a place to call home today. That money came in at a critical point and put a lot of things in line in that today we have hope. There’s reason to live,” she states with confidence.
This Sunday February 25, 2018, the NSSF Friends With Benefits show returns with Episode six. This episode will have Alice Arinaitwe and Joe Ssemugooma, the former Finance Director at Uganda National Roads Authority. Tune into NTV and NBS TV on Sunday to find out what makes their stories unique.

Huawei Goes Beyond Traditional Boundaries in Five Areas and Teams up with Partners for a Fully-connected, Intelligent World
Huawei at the beginning of this month held a Pre-MWC 2018 Media and Analyst Briefing in London, during which the company called on all industries to work together and go beyond traditional boundaries in the areas of capabilities, connections, business, experience, and partnerships for a fully-connected, intelligent world.
The 4th Industrial Revolution – where ICT networks are the foundation and AI is the enabler – is bringing us to an intelligent world where all things will sense, all things will be connected, and all things will be intelligent. This will create a digital transformation market worth US$23 trillion. Huawei’s Global Industry Vision (GIV) shows:
By 2025, the number of personal smart devices will reach 40 billion, 90% of smart device users will have an intelligent personal assistant, and many households will have a robot. As devices are able to sense and two-way human-machine communication and proactive information services are a reality, individual potential will be significantly unlocked.
At the business and societal levels, 100 billion connections that will be created around the world by 2025 will be widely used for public utilities, transportation, manufacturing, healthcare, agriculture, finance, and other sectors, driving them to go digital. By 2025, 85% of enterprise applications will be deployed in the cloud, and 86% of global companies will adopt AI.
By 2025, 180 ZB of data will be generated around the world every year, a 20-fold increase compared with today. Such new data will become a huge “data oilfield”, serving as an inexhaustible source of intelligence and value.
Ryan Ding, Executive Director of the Board and President of Huawei Carrier BG, delivering a keynote speech
Moving forward, Huawei is committed to bringing digital to every person, home and organization for a fully connected, intelligent world. Ryan Ding, Executive Director of the Board and President of Huawei Carrier BG, said: “Huawei focuses on ICT infrastructure and smart devices to provide a plot of ‘rich soil’ for the development of information, automation, and intelligence technologies. In this ‘soil’, partners can grow their content, applications, and cloud.”
Ding added, “Before entering the intelligent world still, we are still faced with many challenges. To achieve sustainable business growth, we need to keep moving beyond existing constraints and boundaries, first internally and then externally.” He called on all industries to go beyond the boundaries in the areas of capabilities, connections, business, experience, and partnerships and together shape a better future.
Beyond today’s capabilities, from digital to intelligent: As a general purpose technology, AI has been integrated into Huawei’s many products and solutions and has greatly improved the efficiency of live networks. For example, Huawei’s All-Cloud intelligent networks can generate millions of bills in minutes and help users search billions of pictures in seconds.
Beyond today’s connections, creating unlimited potential: With 5G, carrier networks will have many more purposes and serve more types of targets, including people, things, and industries. One physical network will promise millions of use cases. In 2018, Huawei will invest CNY5 billion in R&D for 5G, and launch a full range of commercial 5G equipment, including wireless access networks, bearer networks, core networks, and devices. Additionally, Huawei will drive the large-scale commercial deployment of NB-IoT networks around the world, and increase the number of NB-IoT connections to over 100 million.
Beyond today’s business, unlocking new growth: Business success is the ultimate goal of a company. Carriers should pursue broad business innovation by making the most of existing networks and adopting a forward-looking approach:
In new domains like the Internet of Things (IoT), carriers can innovate business models based on the ecosystem to create higher potential for growth and drive the fast development of smart cities, smart industries, and smart homes. By making video a new basic service, carriers can make it a new engine for revenue growth. A better video experience will also promote the development of network infrastructure. In 2017, over 100 carriers around the world made video their basic service, with this number expected to increase to 150 in 2018.
In traditional business domains, Huawei helps carriers delve deeper into their services and improve user experience. Huawei’s scenario-based site solutions help connect the unconnected individuals. Huawei’s quality home broadband solutions deliver a new Wi-Fi speed of 300 Mbps for households. Huawei’s integrated cloud-network synergy solution enables deep integration of resources and services between enterprise private lines and cloud services.
Beyond today’s experience, hitting the ROADS: Huawei’s digital operations solutions enable all-online data, operations automation, and intelligent decision-making. They help carriers deliver a Real-time, On-demand, All-online, DIY, and Social (ROADS) experience through their internal O&M processes. Externally, these solutions enable carriers to build a 360-degree customer experience assurance system across all channels, all processes, all services, and the entire lifecycle.
Beyond today’s partnerships, building a richer ecosystem: Huawei works with partners to build an open, collaborative multi-layered ecosystem that thrives on shared success and to jointly shape the future of the industry. These partnerships take the form of joint incubation of business solutions, active participation in open source communities and industry alliances, and building OpenLabs.
At the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2018, Huawei will launch over 20 new products, showcase the results of its cooperation with over 300 partners, host five forums, and engage in many other activities to share its practices and exchange views with the industry. The aim is to jointly embark on the ROADS to a fully-connected, intelligent world.
The Mobile World Congress 2018 will be held in Barcelona from February 26 to March 1. At the MWC, Huawei will give keynote speeches, host forums, and engage in many other activities under the theme of “ROADS to a Better Future”. The company is looking to discuss plans for industry development with industry players and, together, shape a better future. During the MWC, Huawei will also showcase its latest products and solutions and, together with partners, provide demonstrations in multiple scenarios.
Huawei’s exhibits will be located at booth 1J50 in Fira Gran Via Hall 1, booth 3130 in Hall 3, and the Innovation City Exhibition Zone in Hall 4. For more information, please visit: www.huawei.com/mwc2018 .

“Don’t be conned, I don’t charge people to come for help. Now how do you charge people who are in needy? So many people have opened fake Facebook accounts telling people this and that so don’t fall victims,” he added.

He told the general public to forget about idle social media wolokosers who are trying to bring him down but they won’t manage.
The activist added that he will do what nobody has ever done on 10th when he launches his foundation officially at Kakyeeka Stadium. “We shall bring Mbarara on a standstill come that day, we shall do our best. We call upon Mbarara people to turn up in big numbers and receive our wonderful message,” he added.

Mukono Police have arrested a 25-year-old woman after investigations revealed that a case of aggravated robbery that left her husband dead was a cover up.
Jackline Nakku is detained at Mukono Police Station on allegations of hitting Eric Senyonjo Kiddu, 33, dead with an iron bar.
Nakku had reported a case of aggravated robbery in which her husband was hit by thugs on the head with an iron bar as he returned back from watching PSG Vs Real Madrid football match.Suspect: Jackline Nakku
She told police that the thugs had gained access in the house and committed the crime. Scene of Crime officers visited the crime scene but failed to find any signs that showed break-in and reconstruction of the scene didn’t add up. Detectives searched the house and found an iron bar covered with blood hidden below the bed.
The maid and children of the deceased were interrogated and all leads pointed at Nakku. They said they had not heard any struggle during the attack. A background search revealed that the couple’s marriage has been staggering that several cases had been reported to police and probation officers.
Detectives tasked to explain how the iron bar ended up in their bed, she gave in and admitted that she hit the husband with a iron bar because of incidents of domestic violence.
District Police Commander (DPC) Mukono Division SP. Seguya Rogers confirmed the arrest and revealed that the murder case file has been opened CRB 210/2018.

NITA-U cleared to proceed with the roll-out of the National Backbone Infrastructure Missing Links Project by Parliament, PPDA and World Bank
Yesterday (Tuesday), the National Information Technology Authority Uganda (NITA-U) was hosted by the Parliamentary Committee on ICT to update them on the enquiries raised on Uganda’s Missing Links project.
The Government of Uganda (GoU), through NITA-U, is implementing the National Data Transmission Backbone Infrastructure and e-Government Infrastructure (NBI/EGI) project to connect all major towns across the country including Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies via an optical fiber cable network so as to reduce the cost of public administration, support delivery of secure e-Government services as well as enhance communications services in the country.
Following the successful completion of Phases I – III of the NBI/EGI Project, as part of a deliberate effort to ensure the network is able to consistently provide 99.9 per cent, the Missing Links project was started upon. The Missing Links project details laying out of concentric rings connected through optical fiber cable that will ensure self-resilient National Communications Infrastructure.
During the discussion, the Chairperson of the ICT Committee, Hon. Annette Nyakecho welcomed views from the committee members on how to proceed in-light of two letters from the World Bank and the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Authority that provided guidance that the procurement was ongoing and the Evaluation report wasn’t available to enable the investigation into the allegations made. It was further noted that according to Paragraph 24.7 of the World Bank Guidelines 2014, NITA-U is barred from sharing information in any form relating to the evaluation until the publication of the award of the contract.
It was therefore against this background that the Parliamentary ICT Committee Chairperson directed that NITA-U be excused from the meeting and would be invited back once the Missing Links procurement process had been concluded.
NITA-U welcomes this guidance from the Parliamentary ICT committee, World Bank and the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Authority (PPDA) as it will allow for the conclusion of the procurement process of the national strategic project, Missing Links.
The expected benefits of this project include:
Improve redundancy for the existing National Data Transmission Backbone Infrastructure (NBI) by creating more rings on the NBI and create redundant routes across the country geographically.
Extend the reach of the NBI/EGI to other major towns and regions that are not covered under the current scope of Phase I – III. It was a process undertaken over several years and borne out of existing high level requirements to cover the West Nile and some of the Northern Uganda Regions not covered in previous phases.
Extend connectivity to the major border points across the country and achieve the objective of regional connectivity.
NITA-U remains steadfast in its resolve in collectively driving economic development in Uganda through the leveraging of ICT an enabler to spur growth and improve livelihoods across the nation.

Latifah Smith-Nabengana says she was visited by an “Angel of God” in July 2015, who told her that she had been chosen to bear the Christ’s son.
“He told me that he was a Nephilim, like those described in the Bible,” explained the young girl. “He told that he had a message from Jesus, He said that I was going to be pregnant, and that I would give birth to a son, Jesus’ son.”
Nephilims are indeed mythical creatures mentioned in the Genesis 6:4 : “The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men, and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.”
This type of creature have been almost unheard of over the last few thousand years, so the teenager’s claim has surprised everyone in her family when she announced it to them. Being very religious themselves, they rapidly accepted her claim and showed flawless support for the 15-year old.
The medical doctor who has been following her pregnancy, Dr. William Franklin Murphy, says he is aware of his patient’s version, but is unable to either confirm or invalidate her claims.
“For all I know, her pregnancy seems normal,” claims the gynecologist. “Her claims of “Virgin pregnancy” are technically true, but that doesn’t mean there was a divine intervention. I can tell you that it’s a boy, but there no way for me to determine if it is Jesus’ son until he is born. If she asks for a DNA test at that time, then we can tell you who the father is.”
Due to laws concerning medical secrets, Dr. Murphy refused to discuss any details concerning the young woman’s pregnancy, but said it didn’t really have anything really unusual except her apparent virginity.
The teenager’s claim has stirred quite a controversy that has reached far beyond her religious community.
While most people have shown their support to Ms. Smith-Nabengana, others have launched various accusations on the social media, ranging from fabricating the whole story to sleeping with a demonic creature known as an incubus.
Latifah Smith-Nabengana says she wants to demand a paternity test as soon as her son is born, to prove that she is telling the truth. In the meantime, her story will continue to generate a lot debate and stir a lot of emotions across the United States.
